This study does not attempt to focus on some aspects of Zionist ideology while neglecting others—for example, focusing on religious aspects while ignoring economic ones, or political aspects while neglecting emotional ones, or focusing on Zionism’s relationship with Arabs while neglecting Jews. Rather, it aspires to be a truly comprehensive and systematic study, addressing Zionist ideology from all angles. If there is anything new in this study, it is precisely this aspect. This study can also be considered a case study in the sociology of knowledge, using Zionist ideology as a case study. The sociology of knowledge is the science that examines the relationship between ideas and society, how these ideas are formed, how individuals adopt a set of specific, shared ideas to form a human group with a particular understanding and vision that shapes their political behavior, and how these ideas are subsequently realized, shaped, and modified through political practice. It also explores how these ideas confront challenges arising both from within and outside the intellectual framework itself, and what the consequences of these challenges are. This study does not attempt to focus on some aspects of Zionist ideology while excluding others—for example, focusing on religious aspects while neglecting economic ones, or political aspects while neglecting emotional ones, or on Zionism’s relationship with Arabs while neglecting Jews.
