Description
This is the full Arabic translation of the latest, expanded edition, published in 1995, of Orientalism: Western Conceptions of the Orient by the world-renowned thinker and critic Edward Said. It adds an entire chapter on the repercussions of this book (first published in 1978) in both the Western and non-Western worlds. This chapter also revisits some issues that he believes need reconsideration, responds to some of its critics, and explains the book’s reception and rejection, particularly in the West.
