A dense political theatrical text that uses rape as a harsh metaphor to expose the mechanisms of oppression and occupation, and reveals the intertwining of violence with identity and memory.

It employs sharp dialogue to pose ethical and human questions about justice, resistance, and the meaning of freedom.

Description

This narrative is an open text. That is, it is subject to additions and modifications dictated by historical developments. The Palestinian narrative does not conclude its story, but rather leaves it open to an open horizon. Therefore, additions and changes that reflect the contemporary nature of the issue are possible. Even the Israeli narrative—albeit to a lesser extent—is an incomplete text. Discussion of it is open to further debate and tension. In short, I view this work as a fragment of a violent history, burdened with possibilities and transformations. Any performance of this play must be based on an awareness of history and its inherent changes. Historical awareness here is equivalent to artistic creation, or rather, it is an essential condition for it.
