Description

This work addresses the multifaceted and multi-layered waste of human potential: from the shedding of blood through criminalization, prohibition, exile, and displacement both within and outside the homeland, to tyranny and its mechanisms of controlling behavior and stifling vital energies, and from the waste of thought, awareness, youth, and institutions to the various forms of existential waste in daily life. This waste, which can reach the level of a systemic illness, renders any discussion of democracy and development superfluous as long as the fundamental and binding condition—the recognition of human beings as having value, status, immunity, capabilities, and awareness—remains unmet. Every person in our world has their share of this waste, which varies in form and degree, hindering or obstructing the project of building a quality of life and shaping the future.

The overall objective of this work is to raise awareness of both overt and covert forms of waste and to uncover their mechanisms, as a necessary step towards confronting them and ultimately reclaiming human dignity. To this end, it proposes a counter-narrative to waste, embodied in positive thinking and positive feelings towards oneself, which serve to cultivate empowerment and a sense of psychological well-being.

This work is far from exhaustive in the issues it raises, nor is it intended to provide definitive answers. Its primary ambition is to initiate a process of reflection, dialogue, critique, and analysis, opening new avenues of inquiry and leading to deeper understanding and contemplation.
