Description
Le Bon argues that future wars will not be solely fought with weapons. He goes further, considering economic wars to be far more brutal and devastating. In this context, the author acknowledges that had Germany, during the First World War, limited itself to waging an economic war without resorting to military conflict, it would have emerged victorious, and the Allies would have suffered a crushing defeat. Furthermore, if the future of warfare depends solely on economic power, then alliances will no longer be static. Today’s allies may be tomorrow’s enemies, and vice versa.
