Description
Communication: Theories and Applications is the title of the third book in the Thought and Critique series, which was overseen by the late Dr. Mohammed Abed Al-Jabri and published in cooperation with the Arab Network for Research and Publishing.
The concept of communication encompasses numerous meanings and is, in essence, one of the few disciplines that serves as a meeting point for diverse fields. Addressing communication in terms of its theories and applications necessitates drawing upon a range of topics in philosophy, politics, linguistics, technology, and other disciplines. These elements combine to enrich the subject of communication with new perspectives and dimensions, making it a central focus and a catalyst for the emergence of various schools of thought, trends, and approaches.
This book comprises a selection of articles published in the Thought and Critique journal, written by a distinguished group of thinkers and edited by Dr. Al-Jabri. All of these articles are presented together in a comprehensive and insightful manner, offering a detailed and comprehensive overview of communication theory and its applications.
The book is divided into three sections: the first, titled “Theories of Communication”; the second, “Communication and Technology”; and the third and final section, “Fields of Communication.”
