Description
The second part of the book on Yemeni civilization completes the picture of this civilization with nine new chapters, following the eight chapters of the first part. It describes, discusses, and analyzes eight elements of its civilization: intellectual, social, psychological, material, religious, scientific, artistic, and ethical. It concludes with a chapter dedicated to evaluating the civilization and highlighting its unique achievements.
Thus, in both parts, we have presented all the elements of civilization that we have consistently included in our books on all civilizations. It must be said that the Yemeni people created a great civilization and were able to present, in a single, intricately crafted whole, a multitude of parallels and contradictions, which they combined with rare genius. It is a verdant civilization nestled between deserts and seas, between kingdoms and tribes, between cities and villages, between ancient and monotheistic religions, between agriculture and trade, and between the yearning to expand its influence and the desire to withdraw into itself. It is a civilization characterized by a creative tension that, in its very essence, produced new solutions that reflect the genius of its people and their capacity for adaptation and innovation.
This book draws upon the best and most academic research. Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations on Yemen were instrumental in presenting a scholarly picture of this civilization. This led us to completely disregard all religious and historical narratives due to their inaccuracy. Our research relied solely on archaeological evidence, and the book is enriched with the best images, tables, and concise definitions we could gather.
