Description

This book presents a systematic and scholarly attempt to outline the civil legal mechanisms established by the Jordanian legislator to protect e-commerce transactions. Electronic transactions in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan are governed by a set of laws and regulations, including the Electronic Transactions Law, the Civil Code, the Consumer Protection Law, the Regulations for Licensing and Accrediting Electronic Certification Authorities, and the National Domain Name Registration Policy (.jo).

Furthermore, the book examines and analyzes the topic of electronic arbitration. The implementation of civil legal protection for e-commerce transactions presupposes the existence of mechanisms for resolving e-commerce disputes that are compatible with the nature of these disputes. Electronic arbitration is considered the most prominent means of resolving e-commerce disputes due to its characteristics that align with the digital nature of these disputes. Therefore, the book will also address the Jordanian legislator’s stance on electronic arbitration as a tool for resolving e-commerce disputes and as one of the mechanisms established by the legislator that complements other civil mechanisms to solidify the necessary legal protection for e-commerce transactions and those involved in them in Jordan.
