Almost in a similar form to the author’s previous novel, The Alchemist, Al-Zahir also revolves around pilgrimage. The novel touches on themes such as love, loss, and obsession. Al-Zahir was written by Paulo Coelho in his original language, Portuguese. The novel has been translated into 44 languages, including Persian, although Iran has never signed any international copyright treaty.
