Description
In this book, Saeed Nashid addresses the Muslim who is perplexed by the difficult circumstances he faces, both materially and spiritually. These circumstances stem from the dominance of a religious discourse based on fear and intimidation regarding God’s punishment, the torment of the grave, the horrors of the Day of Judgment, the cunning of women, and the tyranny of idolaters. This discourse is founded on the logic of obedience, the notion that the predecessors are superior to the successors, that the Muslim is superior to the non-Muslim, and the ruler to the ruled. It focuses on concepts such as the abode of war and the abode of Islam, loyalty and disavowal, conflict, warfare, spoils of war, and captivity.
