Description

The narrative follows the journey of the soldier Turan, who had prepared himself to recount tales of battle to his family upon his return; instead, fate led him to the Frankish-held territory of Tyre, an exile driven by the haunting specter of a past deception. From Tyre, a second journey begins—one of alienation—fueled by the enduring dream of returning home to share stories not just of war, but of a world with unfamiliar customs that he had experienced firsthand, without conflict.
It is a novel with a complex narrative structure, rich in detail regarding plans for redemption, deferred ambitions, and schemes for vengeance.
