The Black Arrow was a sign used by a group of men to warn their enemies that they were close and to show them that they were being warned.
These enemies had expelled the Black Arrow men from their homes and made them outlaws. The leader of the group was:
John.
One by one, the Black Arrow men killed their enemies and reclaimed their homes.
Richard Shelton first met Joanna Sedley when she was dressed as a boy. They embarked on a long and dangerous journey together, and Richard did not know who she was. Richard and Joanna were both under the authority of Ser Daniel Brackley. Ser Daniel had led Richard to believe he was his friend, but one day Richard discovered that Daniel had killed his father and was planning to kill him as well. Richard escaped and joined the Black Arrow group. Richard left Joanna behind, and after some time, he learned that Ser Daniel was working to force her to marry a wealthy friend of his. Richard and his friends tried several times to rescue Joanna, but he finally succeeded, and the book has a happy ending.
