Description
Talking about the past is one of the easiest things to do. Everything is written down; we simply repeat, parrot, and verify with books what students write in exercises or say in oral exams. Meanwhile, we are talking about a present that explodes in our faces every minute, every day of the year, sailing down the river of history towards its source, or close to it. We strive to better understand the sequence of events that brought us to where we are now. This is something entirely different; it requires a great deal of effort, perseverance, and consistency. The thread must always be kept taut, avoiding any breakage.
