Description
“I migrated to the south. There I became a dancer. I danced in nightclubs and quickly became famous. I even danced in the presence of the emperor himself. I’m speaking, of course, about the time before and after the revolution, and you know that. The emperor died. Then I was expelled from the city and lived in the forest.”
The old man began to tell his story: “A dwarf came to the north. He danced beautifully. His dancing was embodied; no one could match him. The air, the light, the scents, the shadows—all of it converged within this dwarf and erupted in his dance. It was something extraordinary. Believe me.”
“Did you see him dance?” I asked him.
“Yes. A dwarf used to dance here every day before the revolution.”
