Description
In my book *A Life in Administration*, I wrote: “From time to time, there were tasks that took the minister away from the whirlwind of daily routine work. Foremost among these were accompanying the King and the Crown Prince on official visits, escorting heads of state visiting the Kingdom, and participating in various conferences.”
During my tenure at the Ministries of Industry, Electricity, and Health, I was assigned a great number of such tasks. This book contains chapters reflecting my personal impressions of various heads of state and government whom I had the opportunity to observe at close quarters during their visits to the Kingdom. I have made a point of preserving these impressions exactly as I first recorded them many years ago, without attempting to revise or amend what I wrote in light of subsequent developments.
