Description
The stories of the letters’ authors, who, like them, were lost at sea. But they evoke other letters that intersect like the fates of these strangers. They are immigrants, displaced persons, or homeless exiles, orphans of their countries, shattered by time, turning their lives into a puzzle game.
There is no certainty in this novel. The killer is not a criminal, nor is the prostitute a prostitute. It is, like our time, a region of great doubt, ambiguity, the erasure of borders… and the loss of first places and homes.
