Description

Jerusalem lies at the heart of the biblical narrative, and the religious and political history of the Jewish people revolves around it. With King David’s conquest of Jerusalem and its establishment as his capital (according to biblical historians), the primitive tribal system of the Hebrew communities transformed into an organized state and a formidable kingdom.

No other city has received as much attention from historians, archaeologists, and scholars of religion as Jerusalem. This city witnessed the dawn of human civilization, has been imbued with a sacred aura since the beginning of history, and is mentioned in the three holy books: the Torah, the Bible, and the Quran. It has also been the site of numerous conflicts with religious dimensions. Perhaps the greatest of these conflicts is the Jewish claim to Palestine in general and Jerusalem in particular, based on their assertion that they are the true owners of the land, relying on the biblical narrative. From this point, the thinker “Firas Al-Sawah” begins to study the validity of this narrative, and to compare it with the modern results reached by archaeologists and archaeologists, from which he came out with many important neutral results, based on scientific facts about the truth of the history of this city and the Jewish communities.
