He was confused and denied that this was the neighborhood he knew. The picture became clearer, and his astonishment subsided to a minimum. He realized that money is not difficult for the powerful, and that access to it does not take a thorny path. It is enough for a person to be influential, or close to someone influential, to gain access to money, or for money to reach him. Money is within the grasp of whoever it reaches.
