Description

Once again, the poet Ibrahim Nasrallah presents us with his collection, The Flute Room, brimming with captivating stories for the reader. His collection is divided into four sections, each containing its own delightful poems. Many poems in this collection bear simple titles such as: Entrance, Legend, Attempts, Return, Water, and Love. Each of these poems illustrates a particular theme: some speak of homeland, others of love, freedom, and still others of womanhood.

The collection comprises four rooms, the chambers of the heart. The poet has focused on three of them, leaving the fourth for the flute itself. In this collection, Ibrahim Nasrallah presents autumn as something other than the familiar autumn; it is not decline or fall, but rather another gateway opening onto spring, embodied in the beautiful being without whom men cannot live, whether they like it or not. Between the strands of your hair, a flute of light
Fifty rivers and seven paths
Wandering green in a twilight melting into twilight
Between the strands of your hair, the rhythm of my soul
If I were to play!!
