Sheikh Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, also known as Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, was a Sufi imam and Hanbali jurist, described as “the Crown of the Gnostics,” “the Reviver of the Faith,” and “the Sheikh of Sheikhs.” The Qadiriyya Sufi order is named after him. He was Abu Salih Sayyid Muhyiddin Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, son of Sheikh Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani.
