Description

Absurdity is a philosophy that posits that humanity’s efforts to grasp the meaning of the universe invariably end in failure, because this sought-after meaning fundamentally does not exist, at least not in relation to the individual. The term “absurd” in this context does not mean logically impossible, but rather that which contradicts logic, or more precisely, that which disregards and defies its rules. It is the difficulty one experiences in trying to understand the world they inhabit; in other words, it is one of the highest forms of irony, being that which is neither consistent nor harmonious with anything.
