Description
This novel, comprised of three parts, covers the Roman Christian period. The first part (Jesus, son of Mary) recounts the birth of Christ up to the martyrdom of John the Baptist, and the beginning of divine wrath for his death.
The second part (The Disciples) tells of the Jewish plots to ensnare Christ, culminating in their persuasion of the Roman emperor to crucify him, until his resurrection. It then follows the missionary journey led by Mary Magdalene and the disciple Peter, who was known as the Rock.
The third part continues the story of Paul, whose name was Saul of Tarsus, and the doctrines he introduced into Christianity, his journeys which he recorded in the Book of Acts, and the deaths of the apostles one by one until the youngest, John, died in 100 AD.
