Description
“The Great Wall of China” (Beim Bau der Chinesischen Mauer) is the title of a collection of short stories by Franz Kafka, published posthumously in 1931. Its main story is about the construction of the wall and explores the motivations behind it. It raises philosophical questions about purpose and power, demonstrating how the author uses the mythical structure to comment on human nature and its inherent absurdity. Kafka also wrote other works about the wall, such as “Letter from the Emperor.”
