The novel explores the final breaths of desert life, narrating the protagonist’s experience in the first person, as the forced diaspora of the Sahara people begins, leading them to the shores of civilization, coinciding with the birth of a nation called Libya. The novel, comprising approximately 283 pages, is characterized by its slow, detailed narrative and rich imagery, resulting in a somewhat fragile, deliberate, and somewhat fragmented text.
