Out of publishing integrity, honesty of intent, and a belief in the sanctity of freedom, which we are keen to enrich and cultivate, this second edition includes the following:
First: The text of “The Return of Awareness,” to which the author has added clearer details and more explicit facts than those included in the first edition.
Second: The most prominent attacks and insults that were published, sometimes directed more at the author personally than at the book.
Third: The author’s responses to these criticisms.
In doing so, we are establishing an approach that we consider—to the best of our knowledge—a precedent in Arab publishing, as we keep the truth before our eyes, for it is the foundation upon which no sound opinion, upright position, or successful plan can be built. Praise be to God, the majority of readers are thirsty seekers of truth, as evidenced by the immediate sell-out of the first edition, despite its lack of the additions and rebuttals included in this edition, which comes with a spirit of challenge and determination.
