As for passion, its essence is participation, entanglement, preoccupation, and the lover’s disappearance into the beloved… and complete dissolution, to the point of ego and id being eliminated.
Love is unconditional. As for passion, its conditions include closeness, union, and the continuous rain pouring down on the blossoming roses, until they are filled with the water of the spring and overflow. When the roots are watered, all kinds of flowers blossom.
Love is a series of successive lives and ever-changing states. If it is not renewed, it dissipates. If it does not evolve, it petrifies, and its wings are unable to fly. It becomes like a rock planted on the heart, causing it pain.
