Description
To reach the point where an entire nation stands, we place the right hand over the left. What meanings do we derive from this? As for bowing, it is the lowering of the head, but it is an act unique to humankind, placing the mind at the service of the project God has entrusted to it. Then we pause at the prostration in prayer; it is the prostration of will. But what is the connection between the first prostration God commanded the angels to perform when He created Adam and our prostration in prayer? How does the summit of the earth become so? How does prostration bring us closer to our true nature, closer to the womb of the earth, as if we are being reborn, as if prostration will reshape us anew?
