Description
“If Youth Knew” is a philosophical play, a masterpiece of Egyptian drama, by the great Egyptian writer Tawfiq al-Hakim, published in 1932. Set within a science fiction framework, it revolves around an elderly man nearing eighty who regains his youth and vitality thanks to a newly invented medical injection. While he believes that a youthful body is the key to happiness, he discovers that youth alone is insufficient without the maturity of experience, leading him to confront life’s paradoxes and the conflict between generations.
