The protagonist is a girl named Deem, who moves to a new city, far from her family, to live in a small, two-story house in order to attend the university she wanted to attend.
One rainy night, while listening to her favorite radio program with her pet cat, she is startled by a knock at the door. She panics to find out who the caller is. Standing before her is Hatem, her college friend, who, according to his account, came to protect her in these difficult times. From the moment Hatem arrives, events begin to take a turn for the worse.
