Description
Why?
Our Arab world finds itself among the nations most incapable of keeping pace with the march of civilization. This is a position for which there is no justification for complaint, except that civilization itself was born in our land, and the ships and weapons with which Europeans explored the continents of the New World were in our hands at least three centuries before Europeans even knew of them. So why is this happening?
How can a nation and its people regress?
There is an answer—a specific, correct, serious, and straightforward answer, free from philosophical biases. However, the problem is that it is written in a different Arabic, one that Arabs have not only forgotten but have also learned a new one, making the task of translation somewhat difficult, and sometimes—even surprisingly—difficult.
This discussion is a necessary step toward finding an answer to the questions currently posed in our reality. This is an answer that political administration in our Arab culture has buried for fourteen centuries behind a deliberately fabricated answer in another Arab culture.
