The four sat with a small candle in their midst. If its flame reached the ceiling of the house, it meant the jinn servant had arrived. Al-Hayy ibn al-Qassab sat far from them. Then the four began to recite the words in unison until they finished. Suddenly, al-Hayy ibn al-Qassab’s voice rose, saying: “Ariqa, ariqa, faliqa, faliqa, halifa, halifa, come to me, humble, humble.
