Description
A stolen Mercedes emerges from the pre-dawn fog and weaves through a crowd of men and women queuing for a job in a struggling American town. The lone driver reverses, then speeds forward, leaving eight dead and many more injured.
The case remains unsolved, and former police officer Bill Hodges loses hope when he receives a message from a man who enjoyed the sensation of dying under the wheels of a Mercedes. Brady Hartsfield wants to repeat that feat, but this time he takes it a step further, with an attack that could claim thousands of lives.
