Description

“Ports of the Levant” was the name given to the group of trading cities through which European travelers journeyed to the East. These cities were a melting pot of languages, leaders, and beliefs, fragile worlds built slowly by history before being toppled and the lives of many shattered.

“Resyan,” the protagonist of this novel, is one of those individuals swept away by the winds of fate. His life was nothing more than a straw in the wind amidst the demise of the Ottoman Empire, the two world wars, and the tragedies that continue to plague the Near East to this day.
