Description

Netochka Nezvanova is one of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s most beautiful works.
The novel consists of three chapters, and the third story remains unfinished.
It was intended to be a monumental work in the form of a “confession,” but circumstances—Dostoevsky’s exile to Siberia—prevented its completion, and he never resumed work on the novel, leaving this part forever unfinished.
The novel tells the story of a miserable girl named Netochka, whose father died when she was young. Her mother then married a wandering musician who felt it was unfair to himself to remain a traveling musician when he possessed the talent to become a professional.
In the end, he achieved nothing and was found destitute on the side of the road.

The novel also explores the story of the beautiful orphaned Netochka, who lives a life filled with deprivation and psychological and social conflicts, offering a glimpse into the author’s abilities in character analysis and the construction of highly complex dramatic worlds.
