Elena Ferrante is the pseudonym of an Italian novelist, born in Naples in 1943. Ferrante’s works, published in Italian, have been translated into several languages and have enjoyed remarkable success. Her most famous work is “My Brilliant Friend” (L’amica Genial), also known as the Neapolitan Quartet, which was adapted into a television series by HBO. Time magazine included Ferrante on its list of the most influential people of 2016.
