Muin Al-Taher is a Palestinian writer and researcher, and a former member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council and the Supreme Military Council of the Palestinian Revolution. He helped found the “Student Battalion” in the mid-1970s and commanded the Joint Lebanese-Palestinian Forces during the 1978 conflict in the Bint Jbeil and Maroun al-Ras areas, as well as in Nabatieh and Beaufort Castle (Qal’at al-Shaqif) in 1982. Al-Taher is highly active as a writer and author, contributing articles to various online platforms—such as *Al-Araby Al-Jadeed*—as well as to Arab newspapers and periodicals. He has published several books, most notably *A Dialogue with Muin Al-Taher*. These include *The Student Battalion: Reflections on the Experience* (2015, Difaf Publications)—the author’s first published work—and *Controversial Figures in Arab Thought and Islamic Philosophy: Al-Bastami, Al-Suhrawardi, Al-Hattawi, and Sayyid Qutb* (2015, Difaf Publications), which examines the lives and biographies of several figures. Also included is *Tobacco and Olives: Tales and Images from a Time of Resistance* (2017, Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies), in which the author chronicles the era of Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation, as well as *The Diaries of Adnan Abu Oudeh: 1970–1988* (2018, Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies)—a substantial volume recounting political events in Palestine, Jordan, and—to a lesser extent—Egypt, based on Abu Oudeh’s autobiography and personal records. Perhaps the author’s most renowned work is *The Diaries of Akram Zu’aytir: The Crisis Years (1967–1970)* (2019, Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies), which covers the political events of that specific period through the biography and personal writings of Zu’aytir.
