Description
Iraq was invaded under false pretenses of liberation from a dictatorial regime and the establishment of democracy, after America failed to convince the world that it possessed weapons of mass destruction.
Iraq was invaded under the banners of democracy and human rights, while the most brutal forms of violence were used and continue to be used daily, with the eye on its oil, its location, and its strategic value.
Iraq has been declared an occupied country, the second occupation in our region. We know the first occupier well, and we also know that we have long been killed by the weapons of the second occupier.
The question today is: Will the era of offering ourselves up as sacrifices end? The answer depends on many things, and resistance is only one of them. While resistance itself requires discussion, it remains a top priority.
