Description

The book is structured around three main themes.

* The first theme, titled “Another Face of the Conflict,” presents in its two chapters the idea that the current conflict is not necessarily a military one, but rather fundamentally a civilizational, cultural, and value-based one. In the first chapter of this theme, “A New Religion,” the author discusses the notion that America has become a new religion, conquering the world with its ideas, beliefs, and lifestyle, rather than simply a superpower like those that previously dominated the world. The core and solid foundation of this new religion rests on the idea of the American Dream: prosperity, luxury, and living in a paradise of earthly goods.

In the second chapter, “The Scenario of Loss and the Plan for Restoration,” the book connects the American Dream, which has swept the world, with humanity’s attempts to return to paradise since its expulsion, through the creation of an earthly paradise. This journey began with Adam’s expulsion, continued with Abraham’s search, and culminated with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), as he explored various paths.

The second section of the book, “The Foundations of the American Paradise,” discusses the five pillars of the American paradise: materialism, individualism, the free market economy, consumerism, and living in the present (here and now). It attempts to compare and differentiate these from our own foundations and principles: Can these principles become Islamized simply by adding Islamic slogans to them? Or is the difference between them far more profound?

The third section concludes by anticipating the necessity of an alternative to prevailing traditional ideas that have outlived their usefulness and validity. This does not, however, imply that the alternative should be a borrowed version of the American paradise, even if that paradise is a reality for them.
