Chapter One
The Beginning
I entered the city as if reading the first page of my life.
The air was charged with colors I couldn’t fully describe,
and the smell of concrete mixed with engine exhaust filled my lungs.
The streets were crowded with faces,
but each face seemed like a carbon copy of another.
An eerie silence hung between the people…
And every laugh, every step, was calculated, as if part of a hidden script.
I walked among the crowds, feeling as though the city was watching me.
No alarm systems, no visible cameras,
but everything seemed alive: people’s eyes, the roadside advertisements, even the shadows on the walls.
I had a strange feeling:
That I had entered a manufactured version of the city,
and everything in it refused to be spontaneous.
