Description
Given the current climate in our region, this book—drawing upon a diverse range of references, including books, studies, and research—seeks to foster and support Arab cooperation. It addresses existing gaps and answers key questions regarding the relationship between the Arab world and Iran. The text underscores the necessity of a unified, collective Arab effort to confront challenges—specifically those that threaten Arab national security—and highlights the importance of Arab coordination and mutual understanding in containing political expansionism, which carries significant strategic implications for Arab interests and security.
Furthermore, the book advocates for a constructive approach, emphasizing the resolution of intra-Arab disputes—or, at the very least, setting them aside—to strengthen the region’s collective standing. It calls for the development of institutionalized relations between Arab states and other nations, particularly Iran. It also warns against yielding to pressures that would further deplete Arab resources or entangle the region in conflicts with Iran or other actors. Instead, it argues for bolstering the Arab world’s regional and international influence—a process that includes leveraging “people-to-people” diplomacy to enhance Arab engagement within the broader Asian and African regional spheres.
